Michelle attended college at SMU in Dallas where she graduated with a major in accounting and then followed that with an MBA from University of Texas at Dallas. She initially gained her professional business experience in the oil and gas industry and then as a senior financial accountant for two Dallas-based accounting firms. A highly improbable journey beginning with a chance meeting with Keith Self in December of 2021, resulted in Michelle not only becoming Congressman Self’s Director of Communications but, just last month, being named one of the Top 10 Communications Directors in all of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate. Her business and political accomplishments give her a rare and powerful perspective on our current political communications landscape that we can all benefit from greatly.
