September Meeting

Time: 6:30 PM Social 7:00 PM Meeting
Date: 19 Sep 2019, Thursday
Where: Collin County GOP Headquarters
2963 W 15th St Suite #2981 Plano, TX 75075.

Mark your calendar for a very special CCRMC meeting on September 19 with the introduction of a special guest, Chase T. Brooke, our Collin County Agent with the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service.

This is a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the services available to the residents of Collin County concerning the research-based information provided by the Texas A&M Extension Service.

From an historical perspective there were two important officials in each county: the Road Commissioner and the County Agent. The Road Commissioner (known in Collin County as County Commissioner) maintained all of the dirt and gravel roads which were affected by erosion. The County Agent informed all the farmers and ranchers on the matters concerning “liquid fertilizer” to latest “boll weevil” infestation or the “improved grasses” for your cattle pastures.

How is the County Agent relevant today? Is Collin County a major agriculture producer of corn, maze, wheat and cotton? Need assistance with the fish management in your local pond? Do you have a question concerning your backyard gardening? Should we grow roses today? Are your knockout roses infected with rosette disease?

Solution: Call your county extension agent. Chase Brooke, our speaker, with an M.S in Ecosystem Science and Management, will provide guidance for inquiries and concerns. You will be informed as to the multiple services available by the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service.

This is a very special educational event. Mark your calendar for September 19. You do not want to miss.

We meet at Collin County Republican Headquarters, 2963 W. 15th St, Plano. Meet and greet begins at 6:30 pm with meeting at 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be available.
